METHOD 2
Mostly the same thing though there is a newish zBuilder.util package you can use. You need to grab latest from bitbucket for this to work as of writing. This simplifies it a tad, here are those steps.
select mesh (either a zTissue or zCloth mesh).
select target mesh (different topology)
execute this code in python script editor:
import zBuilder.util as util
util.copy_paste()
remove tissue from original
The util.copy_paste() is just a wrapper for method 1 so it just fills in search and replace based on selection. We could make a util.replace_simulation_component() which would clean up original. Or if you are so inclined you could fork the repo and make changes and do a pull request and your stuff could be added 🙂
