Alexandrefernandes all of the tissues attached to a zSolver are deformed with the same zEmbedder node.
When you deleted history from one of your tissues, Maya took that to mean that you wanted to delete the zEmbedder node that was attached to that tissue and since all of the tissues are deformed by that same zEmbedder, all of the tissues then lost their ability to deform.
Ziva VFX adds an entire collection of nodes to a scene every time you add a tissue, bone , cloth, material, attachment, fiber etc. Most of the work that the commands perform is about creating these nodes and then managing their correct ordering.
So using some of the built in Maya features like "delete history" or selecting and deleting tissues directly will have the effect of leaving our solver in a bad state.
In order to work around this limitation - we have had to write a bunch of supporting tools to side-step these issues.
For example, if you want to remove a body from the simulator, you should use the appropriate "Remove" option from the "Ziva" menu. This command ensures that all of the correct housekeeping takes place behind the scenes so that the solver is not left in a ill defined state.
Additionally, if you wanted to delete history from a specific tissue, I would recommend that you follow the following steps:
- Select the Tissue, Bone or Cloth objects that you would like to delete history from.
- Copy the settings from those bodies using "Ziva Transfer->Copy"
- Remove the bodies from from the zSolver using "Ziva->Remove Tissue Cloth or Bone"
- Delete history from those bodies
- Select the bodies and then Paste the setting back on them using "Ziva Transfer->Paste"
I hope this helps!
