In the Anatomy Transfer demo of Harmonic Warp you include the bones of Mr. Ink to Mr. Alien.
When I do that with the Max asset I get a lot of shearing in the geom. It looks something like this where the chest/back are inset or poking out of the back. :
I tried removing the ribs/spine/shoulder blades from the inner bone meshes but still had issues regardless of what settings on the zHarmonicWarp node. Eventually I just left out the bones entirely and that finally gave me a good morph.
- Why would you include them as part of the source/target mesh during harmonic warp?
- What general rules can be used to achieve better harmonic warps?
