Hi TdotJP, Thanks so much for your interest. The difference between Indie and Studio licensing is primarily based on the revenue or financing of the project or company you are working with. If the sum total of revenue or financing on your production is > $500k annually, then you would require a studio license. This holds true, for example, if you were contributing work to a feature film or title that had a budget larger than that amount (in that case you may want to ask your client to obtain a license for you, if you were freelancing or subcontracting, for instance). Indie licenses are also limited to 1 instance per license, whereas studio floating licenses allow up to 4. The other key difference is that studio licenses can be shipped for floating license server management, whereas the Indies are limited to 1 per user and are node-locked.
