Hi I just want to ask, in general what are the things to look out for when dealing with fast moving animation?
It's really depends on the character and result you need to achieve
There are different solutions you can use for fast motion
In general i would recommend to avoid thin meshes. This can improve collisions
Looking forward to see your progress = )
JoyceK To add to Stan's response, you can keyframe substeps on the solver node, in the cases where you have fast motion in just a portion of your animation. Also, inertial damping can help by removing momentum from fast moving objects while allowing them to retain their dynamical properties.
Hi jamesj How about animating the solver with the character at this fast animation frames so it looks like its not moving with respect to the solver
Mostafa Yes, animating the solver is another option. 🙂
Point of note: That option is only appropriate for when the entire character is is moving quickly through the scene, and won't help in situations where only part of the character is moving quickly (like when the long tail of a creature whips through the scene)
