so when I say "next step is to find a good reference for the bird parts" I actually did yesterday but I want to go through the steps like I haven't already.
I found this really good website http://thevirtualmuseumoflife.com/
it has 50 pictures around each bone of whatever skeleton you can find there, which includes an eagle. I took note of the url of each image and how it changes depending on which bone you are on and how far you are rotated around the bone.
so I came up with a plan, first I needed to get all of the 6000 pictures on to my computer, which I did with this java program I made with some help from stack overflow:
once I have all the pictures I can use a photogrammetry tool to turn the photos into a 3d model
and then use it as a reference to make my bones accurate
yeah I was pretty far off from just using low res pictures from google images :\
so now I can finish the bird parts with much more accuracy
