My name is Stuart, I'm an artist and academic based in London. I teach Art History & Theory at Central Saint Martins, and have also taught anatomy and figure drawing for many years. My first foray into 3D was in 2013 when I was writing a book on anatomy and figure drawing, and didn't see the point of recreating already existing anatomical diagrams such as Paul Richer's - I thought 3D models would provide an opportunity for the book in terms of a different kind of presentation, and for me in terms of learning a new skill. I was going to post a couple of images from that project, but not sure how to insert images here...?
Anyway, until recently I have been working almost solely in Zbrush, but it is in face Ziva that has set me on the track of studying 3D more broadly, so that I can actually use it! Andy's 'Skinning with Ncloth' course has been super useful, and I can't wait to get into Ziva proper, though I'm a fair way off that. Thanks to everyone on here for info and insights, I hope to contribute my own as time goes on.
