Hello !
I've got some issue during the sim of my asset between ziva 2.0 and ziva 2.1.
(maya 2020, window 10, 64gb ram, 28 core)
my asset is solved as TRBDF2 and I solved my scene with fat coupled to muscle.
in ziva 2.0
I was arround 1.30min/frame with 2 substep, direct solver and the simulation was ok for me.
here are the test I've made in ziva 2.1 about time step
solver TRBDF2
- solver : direct
- substep : 2
time 2mn/fr
- solver : direct
- substep : 1
time 1.30mn/fr
I have some vertice vibration but I have to find if it's not my playblast who do that
- solver : iterative
- substep : 2
time 2.40 mn/fr
I didn't finish my sim
- solver : iterative
- substep : 1
time 1.30 mn/fr
first I've found ziva 2.1 is less permissive than ziva 2.0 about modeling issue, this asset provide from a transfert from an asset I can't share so, I've forget to clean some muscle and my first simulation in 2.1 gave me that result :
here is the exactly same asset (but upgrade of the animation) made in ziva 2.1
on my asset I have that mesh to drive the result of the trunk animation directly to the fat as Zbone and I've forget to disable it as collider and my zAttachment was 0.25 x105
I've stabilize with set as no collision and put 1x108 attachment rigidity
and I'was having some fat inner a bit too much inside the muscles arround the neck and some self intersection 2 neck muscles
after clean up here is my result, still in direct solver :
here is the asset after clean-up;
- solver direct,
- 1 substep
- 1mn30/frame
and now I've try with the iterative solver :
- solver iterative,
- 1 substep
- 1mn30/frame
as you can see, the intertial damping seam to have disapear during the preroll
I've found this on the documentation
So I've made some test to put my damping attachment from 1 to value during the preroll
so my sim is arround 6mn / frame during this period, then it drop down to 5mn xD (from 1 -> 0.01 to all my attachment except the fat attachment which stay at 1).
So it seem I totaly didn't understand that new collision system...
I have a big production coming, and I think I will stay on ziva 2.0 during this one.
